Reserve de Fleur
Reserve de Fleur is a modern style, unoaked Cotes du Rhone which we fell in love with as soon as we tasted it. The wine is excellent value, immediately approachable and basically delicious.
Made from 80% Syrah it has an intense red colour and wonderfully attractive black and red current aromas. As it is unfiltered the texture and the flavours of pepper and spice make this a great food wine, especially hearty stews, game, spicy sausages and hard cheeses.
We currently stock 2015 which was an amazing vintage for the Rhone Valley and is tasting amazing.
Matthew Jukes in The Daily Mail Magazine, 29/11/14:"Yet another magnificent and incredibly good value wine, this is made from a terrific, black fruit-stuffed blend of Syrah and Grenache. It really does put entry-levelChâteauneuf-du-Pape (costing £15) to shame."
Jane MacQuitty in The Times, 14/02/15:“Chunky 14 per cent, Syrah, Grenache and Carignan-based red Rhone, whose bold, inky, damson and raspberry fruit is just the ticket with stew or venison steak.”
